A Brampton man had his vehicle impounded indefinitely after he was caught driving while suspended twice in the same afternoon.
Approximately 3:45 pm Tuesday a Guelph Police Service Traffic officer was patrolling on York Road when his cruiser’s automated licence plate reader alerted him to a vehicle connected to a suspended driver.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver said he was unable to provide his licence as he had been stopped by another police service earlier in the afternoon for driving while suspended and had his licence card seized. Investigation confirmed the driver is not currently licensed and there is no insurance on the vehicle.
A 21-year-old Brampton man is charged with driving while suspended, driving without insurance and driving with no vehicle permit. To prevent continuation of the offences the man’s vehicle was impounded indefinitely.
