A Guelph man faces drug charges after a large amount of fentanyl was found inside a wall following his eviction last month.
On April 1, Guelph Police Service officers were called to a north-end seniors’ residence to assist the sheriff in evicting a tenant, who had caused a large amount of damage to the apartment.
A short time after officers left the scene, they were called back by the property manager who had located a package of drugs inside a kitchen wall. The package was found to contain more than 100 grams of purple fentanyl with an estimated street value of $20,000.
On Monday a 66-year-old Guelph man was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking and breaching a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
