A Guelph man was arrested Monday after spitting in a police officer’s face.
Friday afternoon, officers attended an address downtown to assist with apprehending a man under the Mental Health Act. The man resisted and spat directly into one officer’s face. He was arrested and transported to hospital for treatment.
On Monday morning the 27-year-old Guelph man was located downtown and arrested for assaulting a police officer. He will appear in court March 31.
