A Guelph man wanted for stealing a truck and trailer last month was arrested Friday.
Members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft Unit were investigating the theft April 6 of a pick-up and dump trailer from a business on Dawson Road and were able to identify a suspect.
On Friday morning he was located outside the City of Guelph driving a vehicle with a stolen licence plate attached. He was arrested when he parked and exited the vehicle. Investigation revealed the man is bound by 18 different driving prohibitions.
A 41-year-old Guelph man is charged with two counts of motor vehicle theft, possessing stolen property under $5,000 and 36 counts of driving while prohibited. He will appear in bail court Tuesday.
