A Guelph man was arrested early Thursday after a taxi driver was assaulted while driving.
Shortly after midnight officers were called to the area of Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway North. The victim reported they were driving when a passenger attempted several times to hit them and also pulled the driver’s hoodie.
The passenger was dropped off in a parking lot. Officers located the 39-year-old Guelph man in the area and he was placed under arrest for assault and obtain transportation by fraud. He will appear in court June 30.
