Napoleon Apollo® 22 Charcoal Water Smoker

A Burlington man faces several charges after a hit and run earlier this month at a Guelph business.

The evening of March 9, a collision occurred in the parking lot of a business on Speedvale Avenue West. One of the drivers claimed he was going to retrieve his documents, but then fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Wednesday afternoon staff of the business reported the man was back on scene. Officers attended and observed damage on his pickup consistent with the earlier collision. The driver was arrested and during a search of the vehicle officers located a quantity of suspected morphine pills in an unmarked bottle. It was also determined on both occasions the man was in the company of a woman with whom he had been ordered to have no contact.

A 45-year-old Burlington man is charged with fail to remain, careless driving, possessing a controlled substance, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, driving while suspended, driving without insurance and driving a vehicle without a permit. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
