A Guelph woman faces impaired and dangerous driving charges after colliding with two parked cars in a south-end parking lot Monday afternoon.

Just before 12:30 pm police were called to a business on Stone Road East where they found a car wedged between two parked cars, with the driver unable to exit her vehicle. Officers spoke to her and immediately detected an odour of alcohol on her breath.

After failing a roadside breath test she was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests confirmed she had more than twice the legal amount of alcohol in her system.

A 67-year-old Guelph woman is charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days. She will appear in court February 13.
