A Milton man is charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in downtown Guelph Saturday morning.
Just before 1 am officers were patrolling downtown when they observed a vehicle turning at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped and the driver asked to take a roadside breath test, which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
A 21-year-old Milton man is charged with impaired driving. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court February 10.
