Two drivers are facing impaired driving charges in two separate incidents over the weekend.
At approximately 12:30 am on Feb. 28, officers stopped a 54-year-old male driver for failing to stop at a red light. During the traffic stop, the officers observed signs of impairment and administered a roadside screening test. The accused registered a fail on the test and was subsequently arrested. The driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days.
Following a stop at a R.I.D.E. program just after midnight on March 1, officers administered a roadside screening test on a 23-year-old male driver. After registering a fail on a roadside test, the driver was arrested, his license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days.
