A man who claimed to be looking for an old friend after a report of someone entering a home in the middle of the night was arrested early Tuesday.
Just before 1:30 am a homeowner near Speedvale Avenue East and Delhi Street said she was awakened by someone coming into her bedroom. She yelled and the male fled.
Officers arrived a short time later and located a man in the area. He said he was looking for a former friend he hasn’t seen in years.
A 43-year-old Guelph man is charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and two counts of breaching a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
