Man arrested after serious assault at bar

A Georgetown man was arrested after an incident at a Guelph bar that left a man with serious head injuries.
Approximately 11:30 pm Saturday emergency services were called to a business on Woodlawn Road West. Investigation revealed a man had become involved in a verbal dispute with two others inside the business.
During the dispute, a 21-year-old Mississauga man was struck in the face and knocked unconscious. He was transported to hospital for treatment of serious head and facial injuries. A second man sustained minor facial injuries.
A 20-year-old Georgetown man was arrested for aggravated assault and assault. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
