An Erin man who is prohibited from driving was arrested Tuesday and had his boss’ vehicle impounded.

Just after 11 am an officer was patrolling downtown when her cruiser’s automated licence plate reader alerted to a vehicle without a current permit. The vehicle was pulled over and through investigation it was determined the driver is prohibited from driving following a hit and run conviction.

A 29-year-old Erin man is charged with driving while prohibited, driving while suspended, breaching a probation order and driving without a valid permit. He will appear in court June 23. His boss’ car was impounded for 45 days.
