A recovered stolen pickup lead to the arrest Tuesday of a Guelph man.
Members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft Unit located a 2019 Ford F150 in a parking lot on Fife Road. The truck had a fake licence plate attached. Security video showed it being parked there earlier in the morning.
Just after 1 pm a man was arrested as he approached the vehicle on foot.
Investigation revealed the man was also wanted for a break and enter on Christmas Day during which mail and packages were stolen from a west-end apartment building.
A 42-year-old Guelph man is charged with possessing stolen property over $5,000, possessing a counterfeit licence plate, break and enter, wearing a disguise while committing an offence and failing to attend court. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
