A Puslinch man was taken off the road and had his vehicle impounded after he was caught Friday night driving nearly twice the speed limit.
Approximately 10:10 pm a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was patrolling on Woodlawn Road West when they observed a black Jeep travelling at a high rate of speed. The officer followed the Jeep and clocked it at 112 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. A 38-year-old Puslinch man is charged with stunt driving, speeding and failing to provide his driver’s licence.
His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days. A stunt driving conviction will attract a minimum licence suspension of one year, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
