The Guelph Police Service is investigating after suspects were unsuccessful in stealing a pickup but caused thousands of dollars in damage.
On Thursday morning, the owner of a business on Woodlawn Road West reported the theft attempt. Approximately 1 am Thursday, three suspects arrived in a silver Honda sedan and parked beside a 2002 GMC Sierra.
Two of the suspects were able to enter the vehicle but were unable to start it. The business owner reported the vehicle was not operable as the transmission had been removed for repairs. The suspects caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the truck.
