(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On December 6, 2025, shortly after 5:30 pm, Nottawasaga OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 89 westbound, west of County Road 10. Both vehicles were blocking the right lane of traffic and that one driver was observed unconscious behind the wheel.

Officers arrived on scene and confirmed there were no injuries. During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment from one driver.

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas COLEMAN, 24-years-old of New Tecumseth, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on January 8, 2026, to answer to the charges.
