NOTTAWASAGA OPP LAY IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(ESSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving following a complaint of a possible impaired driver.
On January 31, 2026, shortly before 6:00 pm, officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver who had driven into a residential yard on County Road 90 in Essa Township. Officers located the involved vehicle and the driver, and an impaired driving investigation was subsequently conducted.
As a result, the driver, Andre PEPIN, a 68-year-old resident of Barrie, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on March 12, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
