The Nottawasaga detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the publics help in identifying an individual involved in a fraud investigation.
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the Nottawasaga OPP received a call for service from a victim of identity fraud. The victim’s information was used to create a fraudulent ID, which was than used at a banking institution in the Town of New Tecumseth to open a credit card in the victim’s name.
On Monday, December 1, 2025, the same fraudulent ID was then used to purchase a luxury vehicle in Surrey, British Columbia.
