DRIVER FACING IMPAIRED CHARGES

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) - An individual from Grey Highlands is facing impaired driving-related charges following a call from a business in Markdale.
On Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at approximately 7:09 am, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a business in Markdale. An employee had attended the location, became involved in an altercation, and then left. It was believed the individual was impaired.
Grey Bruce OPP located the individual a short time later in Markdale and initiated an impaired driving investigation.
Curtis DICKIE, 39-years-old, of Grey Highlands, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
- Operation while Impaired - Alcohol
- Operation while Impaired - 80 plus
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 8, 2026.
