(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - A collision between a passenger vehicle and an e-bike on Highway 6-10 in Georgian Bluffs on Sunday evening, November 23, 2025, resulted in two people from Meaford being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The roadway was closed for several hours and reopened shortly after 1 am

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at approximately 6:03 pm, members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Grey County Paramedics, and local fire services responded to the collision. It occurred on Highway 6-10 between Superior Street and Storybrook Road in the Municipality of Georgian Bluffs.

Highway 6-10 was closed for an extended period to allow emergency crews to manage the scene and conduct an investigation. The roadway was reopened at 1:17 am on November 24.

A 42-year-old individual from Meaford, operating the e-bike, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A 39-year-old passenger on the e-bike, also from Meaford, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Both the vehicle and the e-bike were travelling southbound on Highway 6-10 when the e-bike was struck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 50-year-old from Chatsworth, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Fail to turn out to left to avoid collision
