OPP SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN FAIL‑TO‑REMAIN INVESTIGATION

(SOUTHGATE, ON) - The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s assistance following a fail‑to‑remain collision that occurred on Christmas Day involving a van and a Grey County ambulance.

On December 25, 2025, at approximately 11:30 am, a Grey County ambulance with emergency lights activated was stopped on Highway 10, just north of Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate, while responding to a call for service. A northbound van passed the stopped ambulance and struck the driver‑side front corner before continuing northbound without remaining at the scene. Thankfully, no one was injured. Damage to the ambulance was minimal.

The involved vehicle is described as a dark, dirty van. Police believe several vehicles were in the area at the time and that multiple witnesses may have observed the collision.
