PERTH COUNTY OPP INVESTIGATES FATAL COLLISION IN NORTH PERTH

(NORTH PERTH, ON)- On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at approximately 7:17 pm, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Paramedic Services and local Fire Services, responded to a two‑vehicle collision on Perth Line 72 near Perth Road 140 in the Municipality of North Perth.
Emergency responders attempted life‑saving measures upon arrival; however, a 19‑year‑old female from Atwood, Ontario, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger was transported to a local hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to a local hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.
Perth Line 72 was closed between Road 147 and Road 136 for several hours while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team conducted an investigation. The roadway reopened at approximately 5:40 am
