FATAL E-BIKE CRASH

(OXFORD, ON) - One individual is deceased after crashing a scooter-style e-bike into a pole, in the Town of Ingersoll.
On Friday, April 10, 2026, at approximately 1:00 am, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Fire, and Emergency Medical Services responded to a collision on Charles Street East.
An individual was operating a scooter-style e-bike when they crashed into a pole.
A 56-year-old resident of Ingersoll was transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Charles Street East between Beachville Road and Taylor Street was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Oxford OPP along with members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the collision.
Investigators are asking residents and along with members of the motoring public to check their security surveillance or dash camera footage in the event that they captured the collision.
