OPP Seeking Assistance in Identifying the Individuals Responsible
(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Pride flag has been damaged in the Township of Norwich.
On June 2, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford detachment, were notified of a mischief in Norwich.
At approximately 11:30 pm, on Monday June 1, 2026, two unknown suspects attended an address on Jerdon Street in Norwich. The two individuals removed a rainbow Pride flag from a flagpole and lit it on fire.
The individuals appear to be in their late teens or early twenties. One individual is being described as having an average build and was wearing dark pants and a dark-coloured long sleeve hoodie pulled over their head. The second individual is being described as having an average build and was wearing a dark coloured T-shirt, light coloured pants and a head covering.
The investigation is ongoing.
