TEAMWORK RESULTS IN THE ARREST OF A DANGEROUS DRIVER

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A driver is facing multiple charges after members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, detected and arrested a dangerous driver on Highway 401.
At approximately 12:45 am, on January 28, 2026, a member of Oxford OPP detected a vehicle being driven dangerously in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, in Norwich Township.
Multiple units were engaged to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.
As a result of the investigation, Alexander ARNOLD, a 24-year-old resident of Orangeville, has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Stunt Driving
- Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on March 10, 2026.
