TWO IMPAIRED DRIVERS TAKEN OFF THE ROAD IN OXFORD COUNTY

(INGERSOLL, SOUTH-WEST OXFORD, ON) - Two drivers were arrested for impaired driving in Oxford County over the weekend, thanks to traffic complaints called in by the public.
On April 17, 2026, at approximately 5:00 pm, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 19 in the Town of Ingersoll.
As a result of the investigation, Brent SAWKINS a 47-year-old resident of Ingersoll, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on June 2, 2026.
On April 20, 2026, at approximately 12:30 am, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to another traffic complaint on Highway 401, in South-West Oxford Township.
As a result of the investigation, Rajpratik PARMAR a 36-year-old resident of London, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on June 16, 2026.
