SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO CHARGES

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - An individual from Woodstock is facing charges after a single vehicle collision on Highway 59.
On December 29, 2025, at approximately 7:00 pm, members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 59, near Old Stage Road in Norwich Township. It was reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the ditch.
Officers attended and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported because of the collision.
Steven Kamps, 63-years-old, of Woodstock, has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation while Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Drive vehicle or boat with Cannabis readily available
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on March 3, 2025.
