During the month of March, Hamilton Police Major drugs and Gangs Unit tirelessly investigated a complex stolen vehicle incident. On March 14, Investigators located the stolen vehicle, occupied by two male suspects.
Investigators covertly followed the vehicle to a business on Plains Road in Halton Region and when it was safe to do so, arrested both suspects later identified as 44 year-old Maurice Caissy of Woodstock and 36-year-old Andrew Gawrylash of Hamilton.
During the search of the stolen vehicle, Officers located the following:
- A loaded semi-automatic Taurus TH9 9mm handgun
- Over 100 rounds of ammunition
- 155 grams of fentanyl
- 35 grams of cocaine
- 100 hydromorphone pills
Both have been charged with numerous criminal offences as a result of this investigation.
