Hamilton Police are currently investigating a possible shooting in the area of Oxford Street and York Boulevard.
On Friday April 17th, 2026 at approximately 11:00pm, Police were called to the area of Oxford Street and York Boulevard for reports of a possible shooting. There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
A large Police presence remains in the area. Detectives from the Shooting Response Team are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are in the early stages of the investigation. Police are asking homeowners and drivers in the area to please check any CCTV or dashcam footage between the hours of 10:00pm and 11:30pm for anything suspicious.
