Season Saved: Stolen Youth Baseball Equipment Recovered

The Hamilton Police Service is advising the public of an investigation that has resulted in the recovery of stolen equipment belonging to an east Hamilton youth baseball association.
On April 9, 2026, a facility being used as a storage room and clubhouse for the association was broken into. A significant quantity of baseball equipment was stolen, including safety gear, bases, balls, and bats, along with an expensive pitching machine used for training and practice.
On April 13, 2026, members of the Hamilton Police Service BEAR Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in east Hamilton. As a result, all stolen equipment, including the pitching machine, was successfully recovered. The items have since been returned to the baseball association in time for the upcoming season.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
