Arrests Made After Brief Standoff Downtown

Hamilton Police have arrested two wanted parties and seized an illegal firearm after a brief stand off at a downtown apartment building.
On Wednesday April 30, 2025, at approximately 11:30 am, officers located two outstanding wanted individuals at an apartment building near James Street South and Duke Street.
Officers descended on the apartment and successfully negotiated a safe arrest for each of the parties.
A search warrant was also conducted on the residence which resulted in an illegal firearm being seized by Police.
A 36-year-old male of no-fixed-address and a 36-year-old female of Hamilton will now go before the courts to face charges related to firearms and illegal drug possession.
