Arrests Made in January Shooting Incident on King Street West

Detectives from the Shooting Response Team (SRT) have arrested two Hamilton men in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on King Street West in Stoney Creek earlier this year.
On January 16, 2024, at approximately 6:30 pm, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of King Street West and Wardrope Avenue. Although no injuries were reported, stray bullets struck several vehicles and buildings, causing significant concern in the community.
After a comprehensive investigation, the Hamilton Police Service is announcing the arrests of the following individuals
Alexander CARNICELLI, 29, of Hamilton, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Three Counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Four Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm
Eathan GUSTIN-GROLLEMAN, 29, of Hamilton, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Three Counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Failure to Stop after an Accident
- Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm
Both suspects are currently in custody on unrelated matters.
