The Hamilton Police Service has charged a 64-year-old man from Hamilton with Careless Driving Causing Death under the Highway Traffic Act.
The charge stems from an investigation into a collision that occurred on August 22, 2025, at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Grosvenor Avenue. The collision involved a motor vehicle and an electric scooter.
The operator of the electric scooter, a 62-year-old woman from Hamilton, was transported to hospital following the collision, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on December 10, 2025.
