Hamilton Police have arrested a 51-year-old male from Waterford for drug trafficking.

On Friday April 4, 2025 at approximately 10:15 am, officers from the High Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T) were in the area of Wentworth Street North and King Street East when they came across a vehicle with occupants consuming drugs inside of it.

Under the authority of the Cannabis Control Act, officers proceeded to search the vehicle as well as all occupants within it. One male was found to be in possession of the following items:

  • 12 grams of cannabis
  • 12 grams of crack cocaine
  • Canadian currency consistent with drug trafficking
  • A working digital scale

The male was arrested and charged by Hamilton Police with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Proceeds of crime under $5000.00
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
