Fentanyl dealer arrested near local pharmacy

On Tuesday December 17, 2024 members of the Hamilton Police Division 1 High Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T) began a drug investigation regarding a male selling illegal drugs near an unsuspecting pharmacy.
During the investigation, Police confirmed that a male suspect was selling fentanyl and other prescription pills. Further, he was also openly trading fentanyl for prescription drugs.
The male was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking Schedule 1 – Opioid
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule 1 Opioid
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule 1 Fentanyl
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Possession contrary to order
