Hamilton Male Arrested After Making School Threat

On Tuesday May 13, 2025, Hamilton Police arrested an 18-year-old male from Hamilton after it was learned that he had made threats to cause harm or death towards students at a local secondary school.
The threat was directed at students of Nora Frances Henderson Secondary school as well as a business located near Upper Wentworth Street and Mohawk Road. Officers noted that the threat referenced some hate-bias overtones.
Safety planning was discussed and the male was arrested without incident. Police are confident that there is no longer a public safety concern.
The male will now go before the courts for the following charge:
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
