Hamilton Police Actively Investigate Weekend Shooting Incidents

Incident One: Centre Road and Concession Road 6 East, Flamborough
On Sunday, March 3, 2024, shortly after 10:00 pm, Hamilton Police responded to reports of mischief in the area of Centre Road and Concession Road 6 East in Flamborough. Initial information indicated that a firework had been set off, and a car was seen leaving the scene, leaving individuals behind.
Upon arrival, police discovered two males in their 20s who reported being there to sell marijuana pens. Subsequently, an unknown number of suspects surrounded their vehicle, brandished firearms, instructed the occupants to exit, and then fled the scene in a white Honda Civic bearing Ontario license plate CMAT455. The males reported hearing a loud bang and ran prior to the vehicle leaving the area.
Incident Two: 1123 Main Street East
On Saturday, March 2, 2024, shortly after 1:30 pm, Hamilton Police responded to reports of a large group fighting outside 1123 Main Street East, with gunshots heard. It was reported that a male brandished a firearm and discharged a round of ammunition into the air. A single shell casing was located.
These incidents are independent of each other and are currently under separate investigations. No individuals with physical injuries have been identified or have reported to the police in either case. Detectives will continue to investigate, seeking video footage to establish suspect descriptions in both cases.
