The Hamilton Police Service Major drugs and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant on Friday, September 5, 2025, at a psilocybin dispensary known asShroomyz, located at 1353 Main Street East, Hamilton.
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Michael Pinter was arrested without incident. Pinter has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin (Controlled drugs and Substances Act)
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
During the search, officers seized approximately 2,156 grams (2.156 kg) of psilocybin products packaged for sale, along with $1,244.30 in Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $12,440, based on posted retail prices.
