Hamilton Police Investigate Assault and Break-In Amid Protest in Westdale

Hamilton Police are investigating a break and enter as well as an assault at a Westdale residence.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Hamilton Police were dispatched to the area of Bond St. North and Norwood Rd in Westdale for a street disturbance. A large crowd of people were gathered around a car and trying to pull a woman from her vehicle. The woman was assaulted and her phone stolen in the process. Police arrived and were able to escort the victim to safety. During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim’s residence had been broken into and her dog had been stolen.
