Hamilton Police Investigate House Fire on Spadina Avenue

On Saturday January 24th, 2026 just before 12:00 pm, Hamilton police responded to a House Fire on Spadina Avenue near Dunsmure Road.
A 70yr old male from the residence was transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries. Damage from the fire was limited to one room. Spadina Avenue was closed to all traffic for approx. 1.5 hours, and has since re-opened.
The Hamilton Police Arson Unit has taken carriage of the investigation, as they investigate all fires. At this time, no element of criminality is suspected.
