Hamilton Police Investigating Weekend Shooting

On May 11, 2025 at 1:50 am, Hamilton Police were alerted to a shooting that had occurred in the area of Upper James Street and Jameston Avenue.
Upon arrival, police located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital and treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Shooting Response Team have taken carriage of the investigation.
A black SUV was observed fleeing the scene and we are seeking to identify that vehicle.
We are requesting residences and businesses on Upper James Street between Hester Street and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway check their surveillance cameras between 1:45 am – 2:00 am for any suspicious activity or to identify if a black SUV was observed in the area.
