Hamilton Police Release Identity of Murder Victim

Hamilton Police are releasing the name of the city’s recent homicide victim, 37-year-old Randy Peardon from Hamilton.
At approximately 1:45 pm on June 15, 2024, Hamilton Police were called to 100 Connaught Avenue for reports of a deceased male. The scene was secured and the Homicide Unit was called to investigate.
An autopsy confirmed Peardon’s death was a homicide. He lived in the area but did not reside at the address where he was located.
The residence continues to be held by police pending the execution of a search warrant. Police expect to be in the area for at least another day.
Police have canvassed the area for witnesses and video. Investigators are now in the process of examining the video that has been collected.
Investigators continue to encourage anyone with information to come forward, including those with video surveillance that captures the area from Melrose Avenue South to Gage Avenue along Main Street and Connaught Avenue to Dunsmure Rd between 5 am and 2 pm on June 15.
