Hamilton Police Searching for Wanted Elopee

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton – West 5th Campus reported that Barry Dip had failed to return from an authorized day pass. Dip was expected to return to the facility by 9:00 pm
A Form 49 committal warrant has been issued for Dip, and the Hamilton Police Service is actively attempting to locate him. He was last seen on foot in the area of West 5th Street in Hamilton.
Barry Dip is described as:
- Male
- 5’9”
- Approximately 200 lbs
- Black hair (shaved)
Dip has known ties to Hamilton, Toronto, Guelph, Waterloo, and the Halton Region.
Police advise that Dip may pose a risk to the public if he is not taking his medication. Members of the public are asked not to approach him.
