Hamilton Police Seek Public's Help Locating Released-in-Error Detainee Matthew O’Keefe

Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 35-year-old Matthew Jordan O’Keefe.
On November 25, 2024, staff at the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre discovered they had release O’Keefe in error on November 22, 2024. O’Keefe was scheduled to appear in a Hamilton Court on November 26, 2024, but he failed to appear.
On August 10, 2024, O’Keefe was arrested by Hamilton Police while in a motor vehicle in the area of King Street East and Quigley Road. He is facing CDSA charges, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a firearm. He also had 12 outstanding warrants from Toronto Police Service.
