On March 22, 2026, at approximately 9:30 pm, police were called to a residence in east Hamilton for a reported robbery. A husband and wife had arranged the sale of an iPhone through Facebook Marketplace and agreed to meet the buyer at their home.
Upon arrival, the buyer was accompanied by two additional individuals. The couple observed that the group appeared uneasy. While one individual inspected the phone, the suspects suddenly fled the area on foot with the device. The husband pursued them, but the chase ended when he was sprayed with bear spray.
