Hamilton Raid Nets Weapons, Drugs, Counterfeit Currency

On September 10, 2025, Hamilton Police executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the central mountain area. The warrant was issued to the High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) following a joint investigation between Hamilton Police Service and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) into the unauthorized possession of prohibited weapons.
As a result, two individuals were arrested and charged:
- Grant Skidmore, 32, of Hamilton
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I (Methamphetamine)
- Possession – Schedule I (Methamphetamine)
- Possession Contrary to Order x2
- Possession of Counterfeit Money
- Alexandra Prime, 40, of Port Dover
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Counterfeit Money
During the search, investigators seized counterfeit U.S. currency, modified paintball guns, imitation firearms, modified ammunition, and a 3D printer believed to be used for producing firearm parts.
Under Section 102.1(1) of the Criminal Code, it is illegal to possess the digital schematics for 3D printing firearms. Further forensic testing is underway, and additional firearm-related charges are anticipated.
Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
