Hamilton Police continue to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on June 22, 2025, at the intersection of Rymal Road East and Fletcher Road.

A Mazda, travelling westbound on Rymal Road East, attempted to turn south onto Fletcher Road when it was struck by a Ford F-150. The F-150, driven by a 16-year-old male from Hamilton, was reportedly travelling at a high rate of speed through the intersection.

The violent impact resulted in two occupants of the Mazda—neither wearing a seatbelt—being ejected from the vehicle. Both suffered serious, life-altering injuries, and one individual remains in hospital in stable condition. The driver of the Ford F-150 also sustained injuries and was transported to hospital.

Due to the severity of the incident, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in to lead the investigation.
