Shortly after 7:00 pm on January 2, 2024 Hamilton Police responded to 135 Mary Street for a stabbing incident. Officers located a male victim with a stab wound to their chest and they were transported to hospital. Once at hospital, life saving surgery was performed by staff however the victim remains critical. Hamilton Police arrested a 53 year old Hamilton man at the scene. The accused is charged with aggravated assault and Division 10 Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
