On Tuesday, March 4, 2025 Hamilton Police core patrol officers were in the area of Vine Street conducting their foot patrol. Officers noticed two males blocking an alley way and approached them and quickly discovered a 34-year-old Hamilton man was openly consuming illegal drugs. Further investigation revealed, Franklin Lewis of Hamilton to be in possession of over 60 grams of orange, rock fentanyl and over 30 grams of crack cocaine. Franklin Lewis was charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Fail to comply probation x 2
