Proactive Patrol Leads to Drug Trafficking Arrest

Hamilton Police have arrested a man after he was observed possessing and consuming illegal drugs in public.
On March 21, 2026, at approximately 8:30 pm, a pair of Hamilton Police officers conducting proactive patrols in the area of King Street West and West Avenue observed a group of individuals behaving suspiciously.
While monitoring the group, the officers witnessed one individual consuming illegal drugs using a glass pipe. As a result of these observations, the officers approached and arrested the 41-year-old Hamilton man.
A subsequent search incident to arrest resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and related paraphernalia, including:
- 227 Dilaudid pills
- 8.16 grams of fentanyl
- 2.5 grams of methamphetamine
- A digital scale with drug residue
- Two cellular phones
The accused has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x4
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
